Frequently Asked Questions

When should I book my session?

The best time to photograph newborns is under 4 weeks of age so it's best to book during your pregnancy as soon as possible. We pencil in your estimated due date and then when baby arrives (early, late or on-time) we try to schedule in your session between 7 and 21 days while your baby is still very sleepy. Mums milk has come in if you are breast feeding and you have had a few days at home to get to know your newborn. (please talk to me if you have a problem, we can help you decide what’s best for you and bub.) It is best if we schedule a time as soon as you get home from hospital as my diary fills quickly

Maternity sessions are best held between 34 and 36 weeks so please get in touch to book your space early in your pregnancy. Other sessions including family, cake smash, fine art and baby sessions can be scheduled at any time. My calendar does get quite full months in advance so booking early is recommended.

Do you supply the props etc for newborn sessions?

Yes! You'll love looking through my beautiful collection of wraps, fabrics, outfits, head wear and more! There is so much to choose from and helping decide on setups for your images really is one of the most exciting parts of your session. If there is a special something that you would like the baby photographed with then bring it along by all means.

Can our session be rescheduled if we are unwell or if the weather is bad?

If you are unwell or unable to attend your session, please let me know at your earliest convenience so that we can work together to reschedule. We try out best to find another appropriate time for your session but due to availability, options may be limited.

Can I purchase a gift certificate, what’s included and how long is it valid for?

Yes! You can find out here all about how to order a gift certificate. They are valid for 12 months from the time of purchase.

What do we wear?

Most newborn photoshoots includes parent and sibling shots. It is a good idea to wear black or white shirts or neutral colors or T- shirts without any emblems on them. If dads are happy to I can photograph them without their shirts on while holding the baby.

For maternity sessions, you are welcome to bring your own outfits or select from the variety of gowns and fabrics I have available.

Family sessions, it's all about wearing what is comfortable for you! Try and design a palette that is complimentary without too many bold prints, bright colours or logos and slogans where possible. A combination of 2-3 colours (eg: beige, pink, blue, denim) works well as well as a variety of block colours and subtle prints.

When will we see our photos, how long will my photos be available to view and purchase?

I will send you an online gallery of your photos 2/3 weeks after your shoot for you to choose your images, depending on what collection you have purchased. You can always upgrade your Collection by paying the difference when you view your photos.

How do I pay? And do you offer payment plans?

To secure your booking, a $150 session fee is required. This fee covers all administrative costs, the session itself and use of my extensive collection of props and gowns. Session fees are non-refundable but can be transferred to a different date where available. Please note that collections are purchased on top of your session fee. Payment of your collection is then due 24 hours prior to your session. Upgrades to different collections or extra print items can be arranged once you have seen your final gallery.

Where is your studio and can anyone come to you for a session?

Studio sessions will take place in my home at 91 Locksley Rd, Chirnside Park. I will supply unique props, bowls, baskets, bonnets, wraps and outfits. For outdoor sessions, we will discuss the kind of environment you are looking for and arrange to meet there.
